Business Development Manager

PEP is about changing habits and behaviours. Clients and participants achieving through PEP what they set out to achieve and knowing it will last.

My experience lies in corporate and professional account management. My background is primarily in the areas of recruitment, training, learning and development, outdoor education and personal development.

I have worked in the public, private and not for profit sectors, in organisations both large and small. It is this scope of understanding of different business requirements and challenges that enables me to provide customised solutions to match my client’s needs.

Bachelor of Commerce and Administration, majoring in Management and Marketing

What excites me about PEP is the realisation people come to of their own potential through learning smarter, more effective ways of working – what a gift to be able to give people some time back in their hectic and busy days.

PEP is a programme which has a huge impact on organisational effectiveness, but it is the individuals I remember the most. I’ll never forget the first time someone said “You’ve changed my life!".

I initially commenced facilitating the Personal Efficiency Programme in 1999, whilst working as the Learning & Development Manager at Trade NZ. I introduced and facilitated PEP through the Trade NZ offices internationally. I have 17 years experience in Learning & Development and Human Resources. In particular my expertise is in development, design and implementation of Organisational Development initiatives, leading to organisational effectiveness and also Executive coaching.

Diploma in Business Management, endorsed in Training & Development

I love to see the changes that PEP helps bring about in organisations, especially coaching senior managers to change and improve the way that they work, because it has a flow on effect for the whole organisation. Leading by example means that managers can model effective behaviours and demonstrate a great work & life balance.

People tend to feel a little uncomfortable or defensive when they think of efficiency.

The beauty of PEP is that the principles are so simple and the one-on-one coaching means they are tailored to work for anyone.

Those who are already elite performers will, like elite athletes, leverage incremental gains into substantial results.

Those who are looking for a way to produce the quality and quantity of results they know they are capable of, yet are stymied by inadequate skills or habits in the face of challenging circumstances can find PEP literally life-changing. I find the opportunity irresistible!

I have been consulting with PEPworldwide since 2004 and deliver the full suite of PEP programs.

I have worked with people throughout organisations, focussing on the executive, team leader and knowledge worker levels, in over 25 different departments as well as corporates, including banks, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing and utilities.

My background is ideal for this niche with a wealth of coaching and teaching as well as business, with 7 years in marketing at IBM.

This is complemented by my love of the creative – vital in addressing challenges at work.

Delivering PEP is a natural expression for me of my love of the elegant and effective. This, coupled with the delight of the customer, is the ultimate reward I experience as I coach people.

PEP is not intellectually challenging. Rather, it is a practical technique that, if diligently applied, has enormous impact on personal efficiency and, importantly, work/life balance.

Julia has a public sector background having worked as a UK Air Traffic Controller and Airfield Manager for 16 years. Having gained experience as a training officer and examiner within air traffic control, she studied adult education and moved into the commercial sector.

She also has experience in strategic planning and personnel management. Julia has worked in the UK, central Europe and North America and was based in Saudi Arabia before moving to New Zealand.

I see my role as opening the window and letting in the light. I enjoy encouraging and motivating people to practically apply PEP ideas and principles in ways that fit their unique circumstances.
